Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) — AI Generated Content

Last Updated: October 5, 2026

Qwen Image Editor ("we", "us", or "platform"), accessible at https://qwenimage-editor.com, is committed to providing a safe, ethical, and responsible AI-powered visual creation platform. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the content standards, prohibited uses, moderation pipelines, reporting channels, and enforcement actions applicable to all users, creators, and API consumers of our Service.

1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to all forms of content submitted to or generated by our Service, including:

  • User Inputs (Prompts): Text descriptions, prompt instructions, keywords, and seed parameters.
  • Source Assets: Images, masks, and graphic files uploaded for modification or inpainting.
  • AI Outputs: Images, visual renders, masks, and downloadable graphics synthesized by our AI models.

2. Prohibited Content Categories (Six Prohibited Standards)

Users are strictly prohibited from generating, uploading, requesting, or distributing content falling within the following six core categories:

2.1 Sexually Explicit / NSFW Content

  • Prohibited: Any pornography, depiction of explicit sexual acts, exposed genitalia, commercial sex services, obscene material, or non-consensual sexual imagery.

2.2 Violence, Blood & Gore

  • Prohibited: Graphic violence, mutilation, dismemberment, open wounds, gore, animal cruelty, torture, glorification of violent crime, self-harm, or promotion of suicide.

2.3 Hate Speech & Harassment

  • Prohibited: Content that attacks, denigrates, dehumanizes, harasses, threatens, or incites hatred or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status.

2.4 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) & Child Exploitation

  • ABSOLUTE ZERO TOLERANCE: Any depiction, sexualization, abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of children or minors under 18 years of age.
  • Mandatory Reporting: Any attempt to generate or distribute CSAM will result in immediate permanent account termination, forfeiture of all credits, and mandatory reporting to law enforcement authorities (including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children — NCMEC) and local police.

2.5 Deepfakes & Deceptive Impersonation

  • Prohibited: Creating realistic AI imagery that impersonates real persons (including political leaders, public figures, celebrities, or private individuals) without their explicit consent, or generating fabricated visual evidence intended to mislead, defraud, commit identity theft, or spread disinformation.

2.6 Copyright & Trademark Infringement

  • Prohibited: Using the Service to intentionally copy, replicate, or counterfeit third-party trademarks, copyrighted characters, brand logos, or trade dress without proper licensing or legal fair use rights.

3. Content Moderation Pipeline

Qwen Image Editor employs a robust, multi-layered moderation architecture to ensure compliance:

  • Layer 1 — Real-Time Prompt Filtering: All input prompts are scanned through an automated semantic security filter that detects and blocks prohibited keywords, jailbreak patterns, and harmful intent.
  • Layer 2 — Upstream Model Guardrails: Our computational inference uses enterprise-grade cloud endpoints (Alibaba Cloud Bailian / DashScope) with native multimodal safety guardrails, terminating requests that violate safety boundaries.
  • Layer 3 — Output Image Classification: Synthesized visual outputs undergo automated computer vision checks for prohibited visual attributes.
  • Layer 4 — Human Review & Escalation: Content flagged by filters or reported by users is triaged into an administrative review queue for manual assessment by our Trust & Safety team.

4. Violation Enforcement Actions

When a violation is detected or confirmed, we enforce progressive penalties calibrated to severity:

| Severity Level | Description | Enforcement Action | |:---|:---|:---| | L1 — Critical | CSAM, child exploitation, terrorism, cyber warfare | Immediate permanent ban, credit forfeiture, evidence preservation & law enforcement reporting | | L2 — High Risk | Deceptive deepfakes, severe harassment, extreme gore | Content removal, immediate account suspension, credit freeze pending investigation | | L3 — Moderate | Repeat prompt filter violations, commercial IP infringement | Content removal, written warning to registered email, quota throttling | | L4 — Minor | Borderline artistic prompts, first unintentional flag | Prompt rejection, warning prompt issued in UI |

5. User Reporting Channels & Timelines

We provide a dedicated and monitored reporting process for any user or third party to report suspected violations:
